Morris & I exit the canyon for a soda at the luxury historic Death Valley Inn. Then a drive to the Sand Dunes for sunset & a pleasant over stay at Stovepipe Wells.
Since the only gas station in the park could not patch our blown tire, we managed to make it out to Ridgecrest for a tire shop. We put over 300 miles on that temporary tire. Still never made it to Scotty's Castle, but hey we gotta save something for next time. This was my tenth visit to Death Valley & Morris fifth. There is always next year or the year after.
